There are many options for people that are interested in going out when coming to Samui.

Chaweng

Chaweng is the beach on Koh Samui where you will find most bars, discos, clubs and pubs. This is where you should head if you feel like a party. Chaweng Beach Road is 6-7 km long and is packed with pubs, bars, clubs and restaurants both on the beach front and the opposite side.

Live music and live performances is what you can enjoy among other things on the Irish pub Tropical Murphy's (central part of Chaweng Beach Road) and Coco Blues Company (the northern part of Chaweng Beach Road). Would you like to have a drink or a beer in the relaxed environment, we can recommend Brazilian Zico's with samba dance performances in the bar (found in southern Chaweng, near Soi Colibri). Fashionable Q-Bar is a nightclub located high on a slope, north of Chaweng. Approximately twice as expensive beer than in "simpler bars", but trendy and nifty if you appreciate that.

Cabarets
The most famous (and best) Cabaret in Samui is Christy's Cabaret. "Ladyboys" can be seen all over Thailand, and this is a full on show where they mime to various famous icons. You will be amazed over the quality of the show and is absolutely recommendable. Entrance is free, but expect eager waiters to sell you cocktails throughout the show.

Green Mango Club
One of Koh Samui's largest nightclubs. Many dance floors, bars, pool tables and TV screens with live sport or other programs.
Reggae Pub
One of the most famous nightclubs on Koh Samui. Many international DJ´s play their music here.

The Nightlife in Lamai

Lamai's nightlife is not at all as intensive as in Chaweng, but there are a lot of smaller bars and a couple of discos / nightclubs there as well. Some recommendations are Bauhaus, Fusion and Seed, which all are located in central Lamai..

The Nightlife elsewhere

Other parts of Koh Samui is much calmer in the evenings and nights, but smaller bars and pubs can be found in most places where there are people. If you feel to have a romantic evening with your partner or taking the family out, there are many choices, such as Bo Phut (fisherman's village), Choeng Mon and Maenam. Do you prefer a beautiful sunset as a background, it is the east cost beaches that you should head to. BBC Restaurant at Lipa Noi is a cozy place, with a stunning sunset at the fine weather.

The Full Moon Party

There are about 10,000-20,000 people every month at this Koh Phangan beach party which is a nearby Island to Koh Samui. International and Thai DJ's play here and expect the party to last all night into the early hours. Transport can be arranged directly from the Villa beach by the villa manageress.
The DJ's play all kinds of music; techno, trance, goa, drum n' bass, dub, reggae, "commercial hits", house etc on about 15 sound systems along Haad Rin beach. There are also many small tables on the beach where you can sit down with your friends or meet new ones from all parts of the globe. You can order drinks and food from the restaurants and the bars next to the Had Rin Nok beach.
